  Not noticed the slow service that others describe here. Yesterday dinner at Ascoli, friendly staff, food was good, not really the best Italian in Leuven (try before Raphael once Tiensestraat in Leuven) but certainly not the worst. Only drawback we had was that after our bruscetta's got a new frame. We had already put on the signs so they were clearing but were told that "we still would need so":) But yes, we have s good to laugh. All in all, pretty good restaurant.

  My favorite Italian restaurant in the Muntstraat. The simple, authentic dishes here taste like it should. Not much 'fuss', just kept a food with very friendly service. The price of the dishes is also reasonable. Ascoli you will not regret it, unlike some other Italian restaurants in the Munstraat, the 'restaurant street' par excellence in Leuven.

  I found my very successful evening at Ascoli. There will unfortunately always be people who are negative and set to skim the entire Internet to post negative comments.

  My pizza was not good. Certainly not warm enough and very lame. The waiting time was indeed long, but we were in good company so it is not disturbed. I go there is no turning back.

  ADVICE: DO NOT go. Ascoli Our evening was a letdown by poor timing of Ascoli. It took very long for the appetizers on the table. We had the waiter this alert. Between starter and main course we had again a very long wait. Again the waiter this attention. To our surprise we got the table next to the main course rather than us as she came within one hours later. The only half-baked "excuse" was that it was so busy! After another 15 minutes our main course finally arrived. One of us had pizza, but it was the soil is weak and pale. The rest of the food was not bad but not special. Repeat my advice: DO NOT go.
