I can't imagine there is anything bad to say about this place. The location is superb, on a small street off the gorgeous Sablon. The value is good, and the food is delicious. It's not a michelin star restaurant so why people expect that is bizarre. The food is excellent and at snack shop prices. The service is quick and friendly. What more can you ask for? Don't listen to the complaints. Go. Enjoy. And take it for what it is---a popular cafe specializing in Pitas. You won't be disappointed.
Quaint little Belgian cafe with a fabulous Salad and Pitta menu. Seating can be a pain, reservations are typically not taken, however, the proximity to the Sablon and other charms are very convenient.
Prices are reasonable and lots of parking nearby both on the street and at the Palace of Justice.
Bistro atmosphere: complete tables are very close to each other, there are always people and a lot of noise, but in the end it gives a charm to the place that has a very nice setting. Note that shares are relatively small pitta! You end up having his meal still hungry! Food lovers will need one of their delicious desserts to wedge their hunger! Importantly, the prices are reasonable.
What makes me laugh, at the Parrot, is that half the tables are always marked "reserved" but are not at all. You can always ask you to sit, it will work. Strategy staff too busy, or too I-shrugging? Super nice frame, good beers, good salads. by cons, the pitas are really very small, and their sauces ... mayo is liquid chemical taste. The kitchen catches up with it all very good desserts.
It is a fact, the parrot is more than a snack, but still far from being a restaurant. The pitas are convenient and tasty salads. The service is fast and very present in the room. For cons, the tables are on each other and the atmosphere is very noisy at once. In short this "snack restaurant" located between the courthouse and the square of sand, is find out if you're in the area to fill a small hollow.
I do not know about you, but me I returned last Thursday because I had fond memories of Pittas surprise but the management is lousy! I ordered a grilled pitta and after 30 minutes of waiting, while the room was empty, the waitress told me that the cook (leading seated) erred in preparing a salad instead. She proposes to take the same price as the pitta, then I agree but when I get the salad I see that there are only a few slices of lettuce with bacon on it. I retorted I m "^ waiting for the grill, not bacon. The waitress took my plate giggling, I could not find any of the trade from him. In short, compared to the time of my parrot know things have changed: staff not nice, slow and not qualified at all!
Cheap prices, good food and beautiful scenery, but ... Very sad French control, they know even the term "soup of the day" (soup du jour) not! However, similar to soup soup (or potage) in French, and day is not really the hardest word in the Dutch vocabulary. Even words that every intelligent man-catering Brussels should know as beer, etc. were taking most of the staff completely unknown. Still, I'll be back to them what to learn Dutch and enjoy the delicious food and endearing atmosphere worthy of Brussels.

Amazing food, great atmosphere but too small a restaurant and it's really hard to find a table. If you are patient enough though, you can enjoy a glass of wine while waiting for a vacancy...
