You've enjoyed the Belga, the Walvis and Tavernier? You'll love the Model Cafe. I attended the opening day was packed with people. And since then? it is always packed more. Drinks are very affordable for any "connected". In short, my new TV when I walk in the neighborhood. Well the problem is the parking, but the hype in the summer will come by bike. Public very Dutch ... and so much better.
I think cafe modèle really a must in this neighborhood. It's nice weather, newspapers are available in several languages and has free wifi. The music was on the alternative side, but fun to listen to. Modèle cafe is perfect for a coffee but also very nice to a cheap but delicious lunch to eat (for example, the couscous was tasty)
I live in the neighborhood and the cafe has become "my spot". You can go with her kids without problems because it is a non-smoking coffee (unlike walvis in front when it is preferable to provide an oxygen mask to enter ....) The drinks are affordable and still very Good quality. A tip: try brunch at 16 euros and will on Sunday. As for the service, it is very nice. Too bad that their deck is also exposed to the street so noisy and busy there.
Trendy Series Walvis Belga and Bar du Matin, the Model has already made its nest, and by early closing hours vary according to time, clients and servers .. Or, a Deco 70s makeover, often a very good choice of music, servers sometimes little French (damage) and a bohemian clientele Flemish (good!), And then to a Sunday brunch in green with envy ... The international press gives him a very substantial European style ... He returned willingly! L ps: damage to the surrounding terrace ...
And yet a place of more stamped Nicolay. Perhaps the least obnoxious of bars that have all come to me inflate seriously. Unfortunately, the music is much too strong for a late afternoon where people gather to talk and not to dance (sic). Sounds bottle typed into the pigeonholes behind the bar hit me on my nerves. Otherwise, nice decoration on the wall, nice bar, you feel not too bad. Lack of a key service to smile anyway.
What's happened to this place? It used to be so lovely, nice food, friendly atmosphere and good place to relax and chill out.
Recently, the menu has been really reduced, the serving staff surly and unhelpful and the food has gone downhill. Woe betide you if you complain - the chef storms out of the kitchen, shouts at you like you're a naughty child and basically chucks you out of the cafe. Maybe they should try to resolve some of the current problems rather than shooting the messenger.
A place to avoid, unless things go back to how they used to be

If you want to enjoy Cafe Modele you have to go before the 27 of March, they are going to close. The place has no more wifi, not even a telephone to call and make reservations. The food its ok but not as good as I expected. Service like most places in Brussels could be better
