We are Americans living in Europe, this cafe was a great find.. a dream come true for us!!! Perfect french fries, burger and beer. We ate there twice in 3 days!

The staff are friendly but a bit slow. The restaurant is cute inside, but when we went it heated up very quickly...there was no fresh air coming in!

The burgers were overcooked and dry. They put raw bacon on our burgers. By "raw" I mean the bacon was not fried and crispy, it was lukewarm and flabby.

In my view the ratio of bread to burger is too high (too much bread) and the bread itself was already a bit stale and dry. It was not typical burger bread...it was some bio-healthy stuff. The fries were ok.

altought the food is yummy the service is very poor.
we sat in the second floor and the waiter came with the menus. in a normal restaurant you order drinks first and take your time to order the food. the waiter told us he wanted to take the order with drinks and food all together so he didnt have to run up and down the stairs. saying this, i went down and asked if in that moment it was possible to order the drinks and the waiter said no, even if I was standing in front of him in the ground floor. this is ridiculous, I am in the business and I know how unacceptable it is. if me and my friends were rude people we could just tell him to F off, because this is not the way you run a business. also, his body language was screaming I HATE MY JOB , once he was wearing very warm clothes in a warm day, no tray.... like this of course you dont want to run up and down all the time.... its a pitty once the food is delicious. i dont fell like going back there anytime soon. i dont like to beg to order when i am paying a considerable amount of money to be there.

A place with friendly relaxed atmosphere and an original card. But the more important to go for their superb burgers! Only complaint: staff a little slow (because too many people crammed noon ...)

What I like about Houtsiplou is the veggie burger! It is delicious. Not easy to find in Brussels ...

Excellent discovery at all points of view! The setting: original, midway between kitsch and bohemian, the great variety of card (although not very long - the burgers are excellent!) And gentle on the wallet - and last but not least: service, endurance and smiling face to our table of 15 people! Ideal for groups, large or small. only downside: can not get there by car because the parking is hell!

A delightful place with a map and on a par with the warm and original. Freshness and quality of products that far exceeds what type of small restaurants that want connected. There's no fuss. It feels comfortable and the food is real good things. The service is cheerful, good humor and constant Deco impressive and funny. A place to be where it is good to breathe. The sores are requested not to come (he cntente Chatelain) just to keep the sympathy inspired by the true place.

Wouaooo, great place, cheerful waitresses, fast and super nice. We eat good, hearty burgers, there are dishes for vegetarians, the decor is historic, informative and colorful, brief go ahead, you certainly will not regret it!

I frequent quite often Houtsiplou and I have nothing to criticize. The staff is great, especially with children, and the food is excellent. The menu changes from time to time so there are always new dishes to discover (which is also important for those who do not eat burgers) Anyway, good cheap food and good atmosphere. And most importantly, leave room for dessert!

Welcome and proper kitchen, large prawns with garlic cream sauce not bad but nothing disconcerting tasty Argentinian steak, a Caesar salad and two hearty hearty burgers. French fries "grandmother" successful. The red house frankly sympathetic. A quick and pleasant service and a good reception given to our little baby. I think the negative opinions are either accidental or issued by people who seek food in a restaurant who wants more "pot luck" (for a price indeed quite high in the slot). For me, after all, an address that puts in a good mood.

Very happy to have discovered this friendly! Original decor, nice servers!, Delicious food, I feel good, a desire to return and explore the beautiful terrace for the next few days .... still far away! Please allow customers to express themselves on the toilet wall using chalk made available! Perhaps, one day, for those which occur more frequently than others, "grow" the map!

The best burgers in Arizona. The most beautiful and hearty slices of Brussels. The welcome and friendly smile. Addition altogether slight. The extraordinarily friendly terrace in summer. In short, the total crush.

This restaurant barely (the car sat at the side of the street, squeezed between two other parked cars) visited and found to be repeated. Today we were back in Brussels and has slid back to this place. What strikes me is the warm family atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is indeed original placed or how about chips in flower pots:) I've never had the people to finger-licking (in fact we feel the full card to order but neither we nor our wallet stomach had room for it) That was so choose, the food is tasty choice is great ... What it is, you can stay and continue to enjoy a real winner ...

I "fell" by accident on the course ... and it Houtsiplou j'yb return! Everything is nice: the concept, the decor, the terrace when the weather is nice, the food variety, quality and especially the smile, kindness and all that staff! I loved it! Sure it is not the restaurant or make gourmet meals in a design or romantic .... but as a group or even face to face, it makes a nice party!

Last Friday 3 / 10 something to eat in Restaurant Houtsiplou and it's worth it! First one is pleasantly surprised upon entering the beautiful strip mural and then by the incredibly friendly service. The food is a very original way on board still performing and is equally excellent. For the main course, the grilled Argentine steak, and the duo of kipbrochetten, both sublime way served with perfectly cooked very tasty, probably 'homemade' sauces. And their cocktails are pretty good taste. From beginning to end perfectly! When visiting the toilets, they also thought of something original but I leave that to discover the next visitors. You can go there for a friendly chat and a drink but I recommend to make sure something to eat. Carine

Last Friday 3 / 10 been a long and pleasantly surprised first by the interior with the beautiful strip mural and incredibly attentive people in the operation. The food is excellent and very original served and the main course, the grilled Argentine steak, and the duo of kipbrochetten all in perfect way fried served with excellent 'homemade' sauces. You can enjoy a nice relaxing chat and a drink but I recommend to make sure something to eat. And in the toilets, they have something original thought in that I leave to the next visitors to discover. Carine

Haaaa ... the Houtsiplou or how to revive a neighborhood that had been asleep too long. Levels card: * burgers unique in brussels! * delicious dishes as good as all very well served. The boss and his cronies are there to make you forget the city, be it sour. soon.

What's going on? I come here for almost two years almost every week, but since two weeks I am frankly disappointed. What happened to the young boss who always greeted us with enthusiasm? The atmosphere became too tense for me, give us the joy of living that was the magic of this restaurant.

I was in this restaurant twice and each time we made a mistake in my order. The first time I ordered a hamburger Lola (vegetarian) and they brought me a hamburger Pato (duck and foie gras). The second time I ordered cheese croquettes and I got shrimp croquettes. Furthermore, I confirm the above comments, the service is slow and incredible one of the waitresses was really rude. We were greeted by a "Yeah" flippant. Not even a good night. We started by saying that we would not set foot ever at this hotel.

Home nice but falsely original dishes and tasteless. hygiene review (wooden board, table service and overall look ... not very clear), Deco fun but nothing more. Too bad because the location is ideally positioned for this kind of snack that might be a little more strict in quality while remaining relaxed. (241,800)

This place is horrible, I ate between one side dry with a little taste of pheasant ... yuck servers had a mug shot up on the floor ... Unpleasant as possible. Only the scenery deserves a wink, it's very pretty. But after seeing the server, you will go running.

Indeed, d-e-who received such! What a shame. I was also at the beginning, and it was really good. What happened to them? Besides, the fact that the waitress did we ever made our second drink order and she forgot to bring us the addition, the bread was cold, dry and tasteless meat, sauce bearnaise was missed. The fries are ok. Shame.

Disappointed ... Service really slow (one hour). No choice of cooking. So an overcooked hamburger for true fans. Hailed by a staff on which the success of the restaurant lives without making the slightest effort of improvement.

Disappointing after reading many positive reviews. The service was friendly but the food is better. Some people from our party burgers were slightly burnt. Moreover, the meat perfectly cooked. In a salad lacked dressing. A strong burnt smell came also from the kitchen and hung on the first floor. The concept is original, but definitely room for improvement.
