I'm what you would call a very loyal client in Brussels. Especially at restaurants where I eat and am treated well, and enjoy my surroundings and the ambiance. Since February I have found myself encouraging not just friends, but also colleagues and acquaintances I meet daily, to make their way to uccle, to cote sushi, to sample the newest kid on the block, and taste what has quite simply got to be, the best sushi this side of the Atlantic!
I don't joke about bad service. Especially not in Belgium.
Cote sushi brings not just the quality of sushi and sashimi to unprecedented levels I have yet to experience in Belgium but manage to do so in the most charming and attentive way.
But don't take my word for it (actually, do!) - go, taste, savour, discover, enjoy.
Then go tell your neighbour...
I find that this restaurant succite ??passions in tt case ... In short, I think what they are doing is simply very good and objectively ... I think they have much to offer sushi in Brussels must have the character and talent to establish themselves in this city, obviously it is! So, kudos to them, I recommend ... exceptional c
I am keen on sushi and consumed without moderation ... A few months ago that one of my trips took me to the culinary side doors Sushi ... and I'm thrilled! The card is an anthology that will awaken your taste buds ... Fully welcomed the festival of flavors offered, they have only one requirement: they want more again and again ... Side Sushi and recommended again and again! One tip: Get carried away by this young team that will coat their attention and advise you with kindness and precision ... Comfortably installed, it will do more than eat sushi time ... Excellent!
First, the food: sushi very well. Excellent salads. Now the service: an absolute disaster. I do not mean the staff is charming but sometimes the manager. I have rarely seen someone so unpleasant, arrogant and not very commercial. If you would report an error in the command (and it happens often), it's just if it does not yelling at you because obviously it is you who misspoke. If you allow yourself a note on the food it is you who know nothing. He mocks his staff behind their backs. It is sometimes referred to customers as to dogs. And then other times (probably having read some negative reviews on CityPlug) he tries to be nice by the window-boot and then it sounds like a fake choir village. But then every time we go back because the sushi is good and fresh fish ....
The sushi is not bad when you have the chance to receive what you ordered. Do not go if you're looking for real sushi and the simple idea of combining the cheese starts to give you dizzy. I do not know exactly what goes on behind the kitchen but I've never had a correct command, There were errors in each of them, while the manager did not have better things to do than being arrogant and totally anti-commercial (I asked him to do an internship in the United States to be aware of what the commercial spirit). I do not order more than ever there.
I am regularly in Uccle for work and "Side sushi" has become "my" favorite sushi restaurant! I discovered the magazine Wolvendael and I was not disappointed! It's a treat! I will also return next week! Indeed, I can not wait to taste the "spring roll" style "sushi side." A novelty of July. In addition to the friendly welcome, the food is very good, original and quality (I had the chance to visit the "wings"). I invite you to try.
I recommend this restaurant to several of my friends and they thanked me! Very good service, product quality, waiting time correct, ... What more! I live on the other side of Brussels, but I do not hesitate to cross the city to go to this address where I am always well received. I'm surprised to read some commantaires, I feel not to have been in the same restaurant they! I look forward to the new card ... and I will not hesitate to comment
Of very fresh Sushi made to order and not, as in most of the other Japanese restaurant, chilled. Gyosa of amazing tastes. although I'm not used to Gyosa chicken / vegetables prepared like that (it + ox and less crispy elsewhere) they were delicious. The place to remember + a priori restaurant "diet / bio / veggie" by its color: green black and white on looks, but because of the specialty (fresh fish) AC is what they eat. The staff is young and very nice. they explain the dishes and drinks and when there are fewer people, are also chat about other topics. This is the first Japanese restaurant where the staff is totally Western, and to my surprise, it is also one of the best Japanese I've tried in Belgium. The originality and variety of sushi, maki, temaki ... promise of great fun evenings for shuffleboard and gourmets.
Sushi-Bar similar to those that bloom at this time. Did the Japanese name. Average quality, owners actually very unpleasant, dismissive, inventing rules on meal tickets (can not be used on Saturdays, you know, it's like that in Paris). If you know nothing about sushi, is a perfect address. Otherwise, go your way.
The setting is tranquil, the sushi is correct and the fish is fresh. For me, the minimum has been reached. There's sushi and maki very original and even sushi "dessert" and menus that allow a wide range in taste. The staff was up to (at least we were not uncomfortable with them in contrast to some customers who may recognize) and has served us well the two times we came. Only B mol, varnished wooden chopsticks used again and full of bites. Ask in new ones. The black rods are certainly pretty, but I would recommend the restaurant to take the small disposable chopsticks that are glued together. Otherwise it seems to eat with chopsticks client yesterday. Another black mark for platform Yakitori: warm and soon arrived cold. A preheated plate or kept warm at the table would have helped.
We had the same problem as in an earlier opinion: tea at 3 euros announced on the card was at 5.5 euros on the bill - for a small teapot. While we were the only occupied table in the restaurant the server was not correct to make us pay the price indicated, taking as an excuse that the card was no longer valid: why is this our problem?? It's just unprofessional.
I had a craving for sushi last night. So I wandered a bit and I came across Coast Sushi. I did not know and I'm curious. So here's my opinion. The home is very good. Pleasant setting for a sushi bar. Very modern. Throw the card, although I was surprised by the sushi 'modern' they offer. But I simply classic sushi. I went home, and before the tasting. There I was disappointed. The sushi was quite small. The sticky rice was not right a lot. The fish was fresh. For Maki, the seaweed sheets were hard like paper. Then I was in my 'set' of sushi to the lawyer, whose consistency and taste too sweet disappointed me. short, very mixed. I have to find another sushi bar for next time
The more delusional: the French management contacted about the service of his execrable Belgian restaurant said that's normal because they do not want to have customers like us. As for the price of sake (14 EUR instead of 5 EUR), this is normal given the "huge disaster in Japan" ... To my knowledge, Toyota does not make us pay the price of a RAV4 to an IQ ...
We have ordered for 2 people. One of the dishes was not the one requested, the change was no problem. By cons, ordered a drink was a little sake (5 EUR) on the map. When the waitress came, the bottle seemed great, I asked for confirmation that this was the small format. She said yes. I left the 3 / 4. In addition, I found 14 EUR for the sake (so that even the great menu at 10 EUR). I reported the error. The manager was rude and he did not want to change the pretext that there was no other size of sake, I had to drink it all (it was not his problem). I had to insist a quarter of an hour before all the customers to accept to review the bill (and still not quite correctly). Then came the worst: he never wanted to see me at this moment, he did not want customers like that and I could put what I wanted on the internet, he did not care. In front of everyone, very sad for him.
We went to eat at Sushi Side at 4 on a Saturday night. When ordering, first problem: for a simple misunderstanding (due to map), the restaurant takes us high and demonstrated an extremely unpleasant condescension ... Green tea is Twinings bag, miso soup contained fungi of Paris rather than Japanese mushrooms. Positive: sushi and maki are very good, fresh fish as it should. When paying, disaster: the shift announced by the wine waiter at a price similar to that of glass is actually 3 times more. A simple misunderstanding would not have been so embarrassing, but the attitude of the restaurant was horrible aggressive, very derogatory, insulting limit ... we left upset and appalled by this disrespect. My friends and I will never recover its feet on this restaurant, for sure!
I can now add that the day after my mishap with them, the manager called me ostensibly to apologize, actually to the pub and its restaurant boasts of its qualities in comparison with other sushi restaurants from Brussels. The debate has become political and insulting to me: I'm a racist (because I do not think the Belgians are in arrears compared to the French and they did not 15 years behind as the gentleman told me ), mediocre, bad faith and unable to question myself. Coming from the boss of the restaurant after 2:30 that I book my order (despite 1H max it promises on its website), who complained that customers install problems while I strut and shouted at me, I take that as a compliment! I have rarely met people and actually annoying if, as stated in previous comments, people who take high!
Sushi good omen, but the staff on hand so disgusted me that next time I would have elsewhere. Taking people up when their prices are not the same, making the boots to lick guests for tinder. They are unprofessional and it will see. The server youngest looks more professional than others. It's simply madness to start from a big name restaurant in Paris. No further comments I have also attended a rebuke to the cook and a young man who was in the kitchen. I had the impression that we talked to the dogs. The individual takes full head. Actually I think this is one of the worst address "sushi" I know. Not by quality but by the lack of humanity of the individual.

Epicurean at heart, it is always with great anticipation that I find myself at Sushi side to taste (even eat!) Excellent sushi, maki, and many other delicacies ... Side Sushi is a restaurant full of surprises: taste certainly, but also human ... and so, in the heart of a common delight, I am blessed to have made some pleasant encounters and a particularly touching. So I make a small nod to Vanessa and her louloutte who will recognize themselves ;)) This is how defines Side Sushi: a multitude of moments of pure pleasure!
