Well i unlike YELYAM (which I had read the reviews before you go CityPlug), I was pleased to discover this place .. Paying attention to service, we have been very well received .. (A smile when you command creates a smile in return !):-) Also, I was amazed by the world he was on the spot .. well installed at our table, we ordered a bottle of wine (one to 19 €) then tapas: sheep cheese and jam, caramelized chicken wings, bruschetta's, abbey cheese ... was not disappointed .. all at a price of 32 € .. Three is reasonable! We will return ... hoping that this is again very much! :-)

I am totally against the previous comment. It's a super nice restaurant, the food quality is top notch. super good value! the boss really nice because we got there really late at night and the boss has compiled tables outside waiting to be seated at the "inside because it was slightly cooler outside. The wine no problem! delicious dessert I just got a place to discover and in my opinion should be restricted because it is really full all the time!. word of mouth to make of his success!. Try it!

I am very surprised by the commentary on the poor reception of the boss. I went many times to their previous address. Watering the High Street restaurant ... not a criticism .... I've attended 3 or 4 times the Penates or J found the warm welcome and friendly owners ... Quite surprising ...

J'ai décidé d'écrire ce commentaire après avoir été à cet endroit ca fait une dizaine de jours.
C'est sure que l'endroit a l'air d'être chouette, le menu même pas grand n'est pas mal et les vins ok. Mais le service et l'impolitesse de la patronne et de la serveuse était horrible et incroyable.
Ils n'on jamais venue sur notre table proprement pour qu'on commende, et même après avoir commandé, elles n'apportent pas ce que on a demandées, on doit donc se lever et le re-commander sur le bar. Dans une des plusieurs fois que je me suis levée pour leur redemander ce qu'on voulait, la serveuse me donne enfin mon verre du vin au bar sans s'excuser ni regarder mon visage -- elle le jette pratiquement sur moi.
A la fin de la soirée la patronne commence à nous crier completement enragée devant tout le monde parce qu'on lui demande de payer séparément, au lieu de nous refusée d'une façon polis!!(on doit se lever de toute façon de payer au bar, parce qu'ils n'ont pas un service propre). Bien sure qu'on aurait compris, mais de crier comme ca!!! C'est inacceptable. Puis elle continue en provoquant des personnes en criant «Eh toi qu'est ce que tu as dis? » et enfin elle commence en plus de nous moquer en mimiquant ce qu'on dit d'une façon péjorative devant tout le monde. L'horreur de cette personne!!
Elle a même osé à nous dire qu'on a resté trop longtemps (même si on étaient en faite de boire et de manger pendant tout le temps qu'on etaient la bas). Quelle horreur et quel esprit d'entrepreneur, vraiment.
Enfin, je me demande vraiment comment ils peuvent opérer avec cette grande vitre d'extérieure complètement craquée juste au milieu, que l'ont « stabilisée » avec de ruban adhésif et qui bouge chaque fois que la porte ouvre et ferme. Hyper dangereux pour les clients assis dehors et le piétons.
A éviter cet endroit complètement!!
Il y a beaucoup d'autres places sympathiques autour Flagey avec des personnes beaucoup plus agréables et civilisés et ayant l'esprit d'interaction avec des clients d'une façon humaine. - 1 month ago
Well, for me, it was really great, good music, great atmosphere and what I ate well, especially the chicken wings, simply exquisite! Looking back Yelyam, I talked to the boss of different teas, it is still very open and I was not sent "stroll". In short, I think Yelyam is not the kind of home, perhaps a little too "posh" to frequent this establishment, which remains a popular bar, when one attends the David Lloyd is expected probably a service 5 * ... The only regret is that I was that visit to Brussels, I live in Paris so I do not know when I can return to this charming bar ...

Hello everyone, I stumbled upon several comments that are responses to mine, so I would come back to meet. In the various comments, it seems that what you missed is that I start by saying that "The Penates, it was our place to go Friday night." This indicates that for many, many weeks (months, actually) we really enjoyed the place we are making every Friday. We discovered all the good sides of it, but as previously written over time, many of us have suffered harassment, bad mood, etc ... making pleasant moments that wanted more and more stressful. Finally, I would add that, without being a rather "posh", the Penates in the district is quite trendy / eclectic Flagey, and thus it can not be accused of "popular". That said, it's not a 5 star restaurant (I'm not "lucky" to attend, or even posting a single star restaurants there ...) it is a little place to have a drink and a bite to eat "on the run". The owner of this establishment has had a violent physical act towards my goddaughter and smiles all he can do to all customers of the city of Belgium, and even the Kingdom of France and Navarre, who spend for once, will not change the fact that touch a customer, pushing violently is absolutely unacceptable (not just as part of a trade). The question to be snobby or popular does not account against such actions. Two years after the fact, then this gesture, the gesture too, always shocks me as much. I'm glad none of you have suffered this behavior, for my part, I've never been back to the Penates, which however is 150 meters from my home.
